Church Transformation

Churches are doing a great job in women’s ministries, but what about the men? If you really want to see your church grow and be transformed, you must reach the men. Women, by nature, tend to enjoy getting together and talking to each other. Not men. Men tend to isolate themselves. It’s imperative to find ways to get men to talk and build relationships with each other around topics and activities that interest them. To reach men you have to enter into their world. That’s why a good, vibrant, and, exciting men’s ministry is critical to the growth of the church.

Do you have a Men’s Ministry? How many men regularly attend? Are they being transformed? Can you see the transformation in their giving and service?

The mistake most churches make is either having a men’s Bible study and calling it men’s ministry or trying to get men together to talk about their feelings. Rarely do either of these lead to the development of a healthy and vibrant men’s ministry.  Men are motivated when you give them challenges. Tell them, “We are going to meet because we want to take our “walk” more seriously. We want to build better families. We want to change the community. We want to become priests of our home. We want to fight to win. We want to learn to fight through the pain. We want to understand our purpose, etc.”  Then you will get their attention.

How can Rise and Walk help you launch or transform your Men’s Ministry?

We leverage the lessons learned from the four plus years of weekly meetings of the Wakefield Men’s Group. Rise and Walk has formalized the notes from the 1400 plus hours of weekly meetings, including the topics and scriptures covered, as the blueprint you can build on to ensure your men are being transformed through a healthy, vibrant, and powerful men’s ministry. How awesome would it be to have your men so excited about your new Men’s Ministry that they begin inviting others that don’t attend your church to the meetings…it will happen!
